Privacy
Your calls, on your terms.
This page is a placeholder until Clearline publishes a full privacy policy before launch. What follows is how the product is designed to treat your data. It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for the policy that will ship with the app.
The number people already have
Clearline protects the US mobile number you already use. Friends, family, and businesses keep calling that number. Clearline provisions a private routing line in the background. That routing number is not shown during normal setup and is reserved for support or manual recovery.
Contacts
Contacts access is optional, but it has a real routing consequence. With access, people you have saved can skip screening and ring your iPhone. Without it, Clearline cannot tell friends from unknown callers, so everyone follows your rules for unknown numbers. The app explains this before the system prompt.
Recordings and transcripts
Calls handled by an agent can be recorded and transcribed so you can play them back later. The app is designed so only you can play those recordings. You will be able to choose how long recordings and transcripts are kept, export your data, and delete it. Retention controls will live in Settings.
Shared videos
Sharing is never the default. A video cannot be created until you review it. Caller numbers, contact names, and your name are removed. Spoken details can still reveal identity, so Clearline flags them for you to hide in the audio and the text. The slogan “Waste their time. Keep yours.” appears only on these videos.
What this page will include later
